Getting there from the Information Centre
From Jedburgh TIC drive three miles south on the A68 - turn right at the Chesters 5 miles signpost.
From Hawick, take the A698 towards Jedburgh. 500yds after leaving Hawick turn right onto the A6088 follow this road for 8 miles through Bonchester Bridge and onto Chesters.
Getting There by Railway
From Edinburgh or Newcastle - follow the A68 to Jedburgh.
From Carlisle follow the A7 to Hawick
Then as above. Both 55 miles.
Getting there by Aeroplane

Getting There by Ferry
From Rosyth - over Forth Bridge onto the City Bypass - A68 to Jedburgh, then as from TIC 70miles
From Newcastle - docks - Follow A187, A193 and A167 through Newcastle. Then the A696 then A68 towards Jedburgh - 60 miles.
From Hull - A1 north to Newcastle.
From Stranrar take A75 to Dumfries and onto Gretna, take the A6071 for 3m towards Longtown and onto the A7 for 33miles to Hawick. Then as from TIC
